Mr. Holman's Weekly Parent Update 10/30/23
Dear Parents and Guardians:
In conjunction with the end of first quarter, MMS has a scheduled conference day coming up on Friday Nov. 3. We are scheduling group conferences with selected families, and our teachers also have some availability for individual contacts on that day. If you haven't been scheduled for a group conference but would like to touch base with a teacher or teachers, please send them an email. Please contact me or the MMS office if you have additional questions.
End of quarter 1 - This week beginning Monday, October 30, is a three-day week for students. We will be on B, C, and D schedules, Monday through Wednesday this week. Wednesday has an extra homeroom, and students are released at 3:06 pm on that day. We will end the day Wednesday with an assembly. There is no school for students on Thursday, Nov. 2 and Friday, Nov. 3 because of professional development and conferences.
Spirit/Dress Up Days this week -
- Monday - Ken/Barbie Day
- Tuesday - Halloween: Students are allowed to dress up on Halloween. Costumes must not contain blood/gore, weapons of any type are not allowed and masks that cover faces are also not allowed. Thanks for your assistance with these guidelines.
- Wednesday - Twin Day
CORE/Cub Pride this week: Due to the shortened week, there are no CORE lesson this week.

Boys Basketball this week:
- 7th and 8th grade A basketball teams will practice Monday and Tuesday at McDonald Elementary School from 3:30-5:00pm. On Wednesday, the A teams will play Logos in the Bear Den. 7th will play at 3:45pm followed by 8th at approximately 5:00pm.
- 7th/8th B basketball teams will practice in the Bear Den Monday and Tuesday from 3:15-4:30pm.
- 6th grade basketball will begin practicing this week. They will practice in the Bear Den Monday and Tuesday from 3:15-4:30pm.
On the calendar: Monday - B Schedule, Tuesday - C Schedule, Wednesday - D Schedule with extra homeroom, release at 3:06 pm.
