Vaccines
Please note that 7th grade students are due for vaccinations. They need the Tdap and Meningococcal immunizations, or an updated signed exemption form. As the school year gets started, our school nurse will be reviewing vaccination records and ensuring that we are in compliance with state law. Idaho schools are required to submit kindergarten, first grade, seventh grade and twelfth grade immunization data to the Idaho Immunization Program by November 1st of each school year.
More information is attached below.
SportsPhysicals
If your student is interested in playing a fall sport, and they do not have a current sports physical on record, I highly recommend you reach out to a local health provider to get that done as soon as possible. Appointments fill up super fast in August and September and athletes must have a physical before they are allowed to participate in sports. We highly recommend you beat the rush if you think there is a chance your student will be interested in Cross Country, Cheer, Volleyball, or Football.
PathtoCollegeEvent
Parents of soon to be 9th graders - mark your calendars for this Palouse Pathways "Path to College" event on August 18th. It isn't too soon to start thinking about paying for college! Visit the Palouse Pathways website or click on the link below for more information.
BuildingUpdate
The amazing UI architecture students under the direction of Scott Lawrence are finishing up their projects at the middle school and I'm so excited! Our Cubs are going to love the new outdoor lunch and hang-out spaces, and Main Entrance is looking so much better. Thanks so much to the Design-Build Program and the University of Idaho Architecture program!
Also...we have Omega Electric here working to have AC installed in our classrooms. Yay!
