Mr. Holman's Weekly Parent Update 10/19/20

Dear Parents and Guardians:

Moscow's Safe Routes to Schools is sponsoring WALKtober as encouragement to everyone to walk more and use vehicles less.  We encourage walking as a healthy way to get out into fresh air!  Please see the flyer for more information:  Walktober flyer.docx

Thank you for working with us as we refine the distance learning components of our hybrid and online-only models.  The conditions the Covid-19 pandemic is imposing on us are very challenging, and we appreciate your input and feedback as we continue to refine these models.  We have created a brief survey to collect some additional information.  Please consider taking a few minutes to fill it out. Thank you for your input!       MMS Distance Learning Survey link:

Canvas tip:  If you have not tried the Canvas phone app as a parent observer, please consider doing so.  We suggest that you turn notifications off, however, and just check in periodically.  The app gives some comprehensive views of student progress that some parents are finding useful.

Reminder:  Picture retakes and fall sports photos take place this Thursday afternoon, Oct. 22.  Leo's will be set up for retakes at 1:00 p.m. in the Bear Den.  If you are stopping in to have photos taken, please come to the west Bear Den doors.  I will send another reminder on Wednesday with codes that can be used if you wish to order photos online. Please contact the MMS office if you have additional questions.
