Mr. Holman's Weekly Parent Update 05/27/19

Dear Parents and Guardians:

Thanks to everyone who helped with and/or participated in MMS EXPO last Thursday.  We had a terrific turnout and our students did a fabulous job preparing for and displaying projects.  A terrific event!

We are quickly wrapping things up for the school year, and have a busy seven days left.  On Friday, May 31, our 8th graders will be heading for Silverwood, buses to leave by 8:30 a.m.  We are collecting permission forms to make sure we have them all, thanks for your help with this.  While the 8th graders are out of town, we have an awards assembly and Fun Day in store for the 6th and 7th graders.  The awards assembly begins at 8:45 am in the Bear Den and will last an hour or so.  Following that we have a day of fun planned for our terrific kids.

On June 5, the 8th grade celebration and awards assembly will begin at 10 am in the Bear Den, followed by a dessert social for our departing 8th graders.  We are still in need of some treat offerings.  Please follow the link in the paragraph below if you are able to provide something...thank you!

The MMS Parent Support Team is organizing refreshments for the 8th Grade Awards Assembly and will provide cake and supplies.  To help out please visit our sign up at https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10c0a48a5a822a0f58-8thgrade4 or just bring something to share day of.  It's totally "icing on the cake" if we get extra treats so no stress if you are not attending or it doesn't fit with your plans to bring something.    - Mary
