Mr. Holman's Weekly Parent Update 05/22/23

Dear Parents and Guardians,

Thank you for all the help and support for students in activities this year.  We had a terrific level of involvement in sports and other activities in large part due to your support and assistance.  Within the past couple weeks, we have had amazing performances in music, drama and track and field.  Well over half our MMS Cubs are involved in one or more of those activities this spring, a wonderful statistic!  Thanks also for all who have helped with the various events all year.  We couldn't do it without you!

6th Grade Bike Safety Unit - Sixth graders in PE have the opportunity to work, in coordination with Safe Routes to School, on a 2-day biking unit.  On Monday, May 22, students will learn about Bike Safety.  On Tuesday, May 23rd , they will go for a class bike ride to Mountain View Park during their PE time.  Students are highly encouraged to bring their own bikes (must be in working order) and helmets to school on TUESDAY to use for this activity.  Extra bikes will be available.  Helmets are required and will be available to borrow as well.  If you have any questions, please email Gen Fealy at [email protected].

EXPO this Thursday -  Mark your calendars...Moscow Middle School invites families in the evening of Thursday, May 25, 5:30 to 7 pm, for the return of EXPO.  This year's EXPO theme is CUB PRIDE ON DISPLAY and will include student work from all subjects in all grade levels.  You will see incredible writing, art and artistic performances, awesome physical activities in the gym, amazing science and math projects and activities, fascinating social studies displays and wonderful examples of student work from their elective courses.  You are invited to enjoy a hotdog grilled by Principal Holman, Assistant Principal Summers and Superintendent Bailey.  We are very excited to once again offer this opportunity to enjoy the positive culture at MMS!    Fromm MMS PST:  There are 2 volunteer opportunities at MMS Expo this Thursday. Please sign up to help us make this amazing event happen!!
