Dear Parents and Guardians:

Thanks again for the Staff Appreciation gifts of food last Monday, and for your support of the MMS food pantry at the UNITE event.  We collected over 1700 items that will provide meals to those in need.  Your support is greatly appreciated!  Thanks also to all who helped with the MMS Winter Dance last Friday evening.  It was great to have this event at long last, and the kids had fun!

MMS wrestlers traveled to the Lewiston invitational Saturday.  While I do not have final results, I was fortunate to watch many great performances by our kids.  Wrestling is a very challenging sport and I have great respect for those who choose to participate.  Great job, kids and coaches!

PST Corner - The next MMS PST Meeting will take place Thursday, February 16 at 5:30 pm in the MMS library.  School Counselor Natalie Stone is the guest speaker this month.  Hope to see you there!

Knowledge Bowl - Our knowledge Bowl team is travelling to Troy HS Monday evening for a 7 pm contest with Troy MS.  

Sports Update:  This week at a glance:

  • Wrestling will practice from 3:20 until 5 pm in the Bear Den Monday, and Wednesday through Friday this week.  They have a home match with Pullman and Potlatch Tuesday, beginning at 5 pm in the Bear Den.
  • 6th Girls Basketball will practice Monday and Thursday, with scrimmages Friday beginning at 3:15 in the Bear Den.
  • B Girls Basketball will practice Tuesday (at McDonald) and Thursday this week after school in the Bear Den.  Games Monday and Wednesday (see below.)  
  • A Girls Basketball will practice from 3:30 until 5 pm at McDonald gym Monday, Wednesday and Friday.  They play Lapwai at home (MHS gym) Tuesday and are away at Jenifer on Thursday.   
  • Winter Cheer will practice from 3:20 to 4:30 this week on the days members are not cheering at home events.
