Mr. Holman's Weekly Parent Update 01/03/23
Dear Parents and Guardians:
I hope that you all had an enjoyable break. We are looking forward to seeing your children tomorrow and to get started on 2023! We have just 4 weeks left in our first semester. As a reminder, there are several avenues of assistance for kids who are struggling a bit academically at this time. Students may make arrangements to meet with teachers before and/or after school to get work done. We staff a Homework Club Monday through Thursday after school until 3:45 pm. If you have questions about academic progress and/or assistance, please contact me or your child's teacher(s) as soon as possible. If you have questions about how to monitor student progress in Canvas and/or PowerSchool, please consult the Parent Resources tab on our school website. Please contact me and/or your child's teachers if you have additional questions. Thanks again for your help and involvement!
Sports Update: Wrestling and Girls Basketball kick off this week, and Cinter cheer continues. There is still time this week to register your child on Register My Athlete if you have not yet done so. Please contact Mrs. Borchers or Mr. Running in the MMS office if you have questions about how to proceed. This week at a glance:
- Wrestling will practice from 3:20 until 5 pm in the Bear Den Tuesday through Friday this week.
- Team selection for 7/8 Girls Basketball will take place Tuesday and Wednesday at McDonald gym as follows: 7th girls 3:30 to 5 pm, 8th girls 5 to 6:30 pm.
- 6th and B Girls Basketball will practice from 3:20 until 4:30 pm in the Bear Den Thursday and Friday.
- A Girls Basketball will practice from 3:30 until 5 pm at McDonald gym Thursday and Friday.
- Winter Cheer will practice from 3:20 to 4:30 Tuesday through Thursday this week.
