Mr. Holman's Weekly Parent Update 05/03/21

Dear Parents and Guardians:

Track and Field - Thanks again for your support of our track and field program and to those of you who have volunteered to help.  Results from last Friday's meet have been added to the Thursday meet with Sac and Pullman, and can be found at this site:  Pullman/Moscow @ Sac - Track & Field Meet (   Please note:  The Lewiston Schools use a fully automatic timing system (FAT) so it was necessary to apply a conversion to our scores, which were hand timed, when they were entered.  I really appreciate Sacajawea athletic director Chad Armitage for the extra work to make it possible for us to join their meet!   Our final meet will take place on Thursday, May 13, and will be a virtual collaboration with Sacajawea and Clarkston.

MMS/MHS Spring Music Concert and Ice Cream Social - This Thursday, May 6, MMS and MHS music programs are hosting an ice cream 'social' and music program at Moscow Middle School.  We are glad that conditions allow us to do this at all this year, but pandemic protocol has created the need to make a few changes over past years.  At 6 pm, ice cream will be served on the east lawn at Moscow Middle School, with the Moscow High School choir performing.  We ask that participants maintain appropriate social distance as you enjoy ice cream bars and great music!  We'll be keeping an eye on the weather, because foul weather will cancel the outdoor part of this event. The remainder of the program will take place in the Bear Den, beginning at 7 pm.  Due to the 40% capacity rule that currently in place in Idaho, we are limited to three family members per student in the Bear Den for this particular event.  We ask that family groups distance from other family groups, and all are required to wear masks.   We will be simulcasting the performances and will provide more information about that later this week.  Thank you for your help understanding, and we are happy to be at this stage!

Staff Appreciation Week - From MMS PST:  There is still time left to sign up to bring in tasty prepackaged snacks and treats to show our appreciation to MMS staff during Teacher Appreciation Week, this coming Tuesday, May 4th or Wednesday, May 5th. Please see the signup genius below, if you are interested in donating. Thank you for your support of our wonderful MMS staff.
